Yury Kondratiuk (Oleksandr Shahrey)- son of Ukraine, city Poltava
by A. Dotsenko

Biography of Ukrainian scientist, whose theories were used by NASA in their flight to the Moon.

Yury Kondratiuk was prosecuted by Stalin and is virtually unknown to the world in spite of the facts that this mathematician's work was used to built the first computer and to enable complex space flights. His theories were used but his name was never mentioned.

This rare book is written by Anatoly Dotsenko, who is relative of Yury Kondratiuk. The author spent 25 years of his life, mostly during the Soviet Union, collecting information about his famous and not known relative. This book has rare photo-documents from the family archives.

In 1997 UNESCO celebrated 100 years from the birth of Y.Kondratiuk - unusual Ukrainian scientist, whose name must stand together with names of other scientist that created the theoretical cosmology at the beginning of XX century. But his name is virtually unknown to the world because of his unusual personal destiny. This book brings light to the unknown and what was hidden for a long time.
